Anti-icing cables

External anti-icing cables are a reliable solution for protecting outdoor surfaces from snow and ice. Designed for installation on driveways, sidewalks, stairs, as well as roofs in gutters and downspout systems, they effectively prevent icing, reducing the risk of accidents and damage. These cables are a key component of anti-icing systems, ensuring safety and comfort when using outdoor surfaces during the winter months.

How does it work?

External anti-icing cables are the ideal solution for individuals and businesses seeking to ensure safety on their premises and protect water drainage systems from damage. Used on driveways, sidewalks, stairs, and gutters, they provide comfort and safety even in the harshest winter conditions, making them an essential element in areas prone to heavy snowfall and icing.

Hornisse anti-icing cables are variable-resistance (self-regulating), meaning they automatically adjust to the ambient temperature and do not exceed 10°C. To facilitate temperature control, it is recommended to install an NTC-10 sensor and a thermostat.

Key product features:
Weatherproof – Anti-icing cables are specially designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, including low temperatures, moisture, and UV radiation.
Even heat distribution – Effectively melts snow and ice across the entire installed surface, preventing ice formation
Versatile applications – Suitable for driveways, sidewalks, stairs, as well as gutters and downspouts, protecting both surfaces and installations from freezing.
Automatic control – In combination with thermostats and moisture/temperature sensors, anti-icing cables operate automatically, activating only when needed, ensuring energy efficiency.
Easy installation – The flexible cables are simple to install, allowing for quick placement on flat surfaces, in gutters, and on complex structures.

Application:

Driveways and sidewalks – Prevent the accumulation of snow and ice on outdoor surfaces, ensuring safe movement.
Outdoor stairs – Eliminate the risk of slipping on icy steps.
Gutters and downspouts – Protect water drainage systems from freezing, preventing damage, blockages, or cracks.

Advantages:

Safety – Minimises the risk of slips and falls, especially in areas prone to icy conditions.
Surface protection – Prevents surface damage caused by ice expansion.
Automatic and energy-efficient operation – Systems with anti-icing cables are energy-efficient thanks to automatic controls, allowing efficient energy consumption.
Durability – Made from high-quality materials that guarantee long service life even in extreme weather conditions.
